Frequently Asked Questions
Q- Does my chid need to be potty trained?
A- Yes! Your child must be fully potty trained to come to preschool. This also includes not wearing pull ups. I do not help them wipe, and I expect the kids to be able to put their clothes back on themselves. I understand that accidents happen, I ask that each child has a backup outfit stored at preschool just in case, but it shouldn't be something the kids are needing every week.
Q-My child turns 3 after September 1st, can they still sign up for preschool?
A-No. The public schools in Utah have a hard cut off date of September 1st that children must be 5 in order to enter Kindergarten. To make the transition as easy as possible, I have the same policy. Those fall/winter birthdays are tough! I know! Use this period to go to story time at the library, enroll in mommy and me classes, read together! We love having more mature children in the classroom. They are terrific!
Q-Can I come and see the classroom before registering my child
A-Absolutely!I am happy to set up appointments later in the afternoon, evening or weekends to be able to devote my entire attention on you and your family. Please reach out to schedule a time. I don't allow visits while we're in the middle of class for the safety and comfort of the current preschoolers and to minimize distractions.
Q- How do I register?
A-Registration will open on January 3rd. Go to the "registration" section of the website, select which class you would like, fill out your information, pay the registration fee and the first month of preschool tuition, and I will either text or email you confirmation and send you a registration packet. Super Easy!

About Me
Teaching young children is one of my passions! Whether it is in a classroom sharing my love of books, in my front room teaching songs, or in the pool teaching swim lessons, I thrive on watching kids learn new skills and seeing their excitement when they succeed. I graduated from Brigham Young University. My favorite class I took was an internship in the BYU preschool. There, I learned how to implement NAEYC standards into my curriculum, teach using age-appropriate methods, and creatively engage with children in a group and one on one basis. I taught toddler music and movement classes at the Dancing Moose Montessori School. I have over 16 years of experience teaching preschool aged children in various disciplines.
I have 4 children of my own. Some of my hobbies include: triathlons, reading, cooking, creating crafty things, hiking, and traveling. I have lived in 3 different states in the time that I have been married, and especially look forward to date nights with my husband.
