Preschoolers will use all their senses to enhance their knowledge at Mountaintop Learning. We strive to follow the Guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Whether it is during small circle time, table work, or in one of our learning stations, your child will learn through repetition, exploration, and cooperation with others.
While at preschool, your child will practice name recognition, handwriting, fine motor skills, calendaring, counting, dramatic role play, art skills, play with musical instruments, and so much more! Teacher to student ratio is kept low to ensure personal attention and foster to different learning styles.
We currently have one spot that has opened in the Tuesdday/Thursday class.
Please contact me to be placed on the waiting list for the Monday/Wednesday Friday Fall 2019/2020 school year.
*Students must be 3 on September 1, 2019 and potty trained to enroll
Mommy and Me Music
Escape the nitty-gritty job of parenting to come play, laugh, and discover, together!
During Music Classes, we explore different musical instruments, move and shake our bodies, sing silly songs, learn finger rhymes, dance with scarves & ribbons, meet new friends and even play with a parachute! It's sure to become one of the best parts of your week!
Tuition is paid each month. Each session includes 4 classes that are held once a week. We offer 2 different class times to accommodate your schedule: Mondays at 9:00 am and Wednesdays at 2:00 Classes are 25 minutes long, no two classes are ever the same!
*Because space is limited, I do charge for additional children over the age of 1. My sibling discount is very substantial to help families with more than one small child.
Come to Play
"Miss Julie's Mommy and Me classes are SO MUCH FUN! I take my three year old and my fifteen month old and both LOVE the time we spend singing, dancing, pretending and playing instruments. My three year old often asks if today is music class? My baby now dances whenever she hears music which is so cute. For me, I get so busy that I forget to play and be silly. I love having a fun, creative teacher who helps bring out the kid in me and allows me the wonderful opportunity to really play and enjoy my children. I have noticed that it reduces my stress level and just makes me happy. I'm grateful for the weekly reminder to really enjoy being a mother without the distractions of the never ending laundry and dishes that are at my house. If you are looking for something close to home to do during the cold winter months and beyond that will bless your family, this is a wonderful option! We love it!!!"
Come to Discover
"My 2-year-old is quite the fan of this class. He's both introverted and shy and it took him a few weeks of observing but now loves going each week to play the instruments....especially the drums and shaker eggs. Since I work during the day, it's great having a class in the early evening and close to home to be able to go to. I'd highly recommend Julie and her class!"
"This class is great for kids of all ages! My < 18 mo. daughter loves the musical instruments, and intently observes all the singing - she will copy the hand movements and clap for the songs she likes :) She loves Julie - her enthusiasm is contagious!"

Meet Miss Julie
Teaching young children is one of my passions! Whether it is in a classroom sharing my love of books, in my front room teaching songs, or in the pool teaching swim lessons, I thrive on watching kids learn new skills and seeing their excitement when they succeed. I graduated from Brigham Young University. My favorite class I took was an internship in the BYU preschool. There, I learned how to implement NAEYC standards into my curriculum, teach using age-appropriate methods, and creatively engage with children in a group and one on one basis. I taught toddler music and movement classes at the Dancing Moose Montessori School. I have over 7 years of experience teaching preschool aged children in various disciplines.
I have 4 children of my own. Some of my hobbies include: triathlons, reading, cooking, creating crafty things, hiking, and traveling. I have lived in 3 different states in the time that I have been married, and especially look forward to date nights with my husband.
